I made a cake that turned out fine in my house, then I made it at my mom's house and it fell in the middle! I used Canola Oil (all she had) instead of Vegetable Oil, but thought that was a reasonable substitute -- recipe called for a lot, like 1 1/2 cups. The recipe called for self-rising flour, which I also used (However, ironically, I didn't use it when the cake turned out fine). What makes a cake fall?
