    Here's the 10 by 13 ft. kitchen with the sub zero fridge and the La CornuFe range. Lots of budget cuts, such as standard cabinets and 'custom' plumber's pipe pot racks, but the money went into the appliances.

    Thanks: that window was there since 1914 apparently. It's stationary. My son took this picture from the entry to the kitchen. To your right, a wall you can't see, is another large window w more stained glass for privacy and there is a large floor-to-ceiling obsured-glass cabinet to hold all the things I couldn't fit anywhere else, plus a moveable (on wheels) butcher block island for more work space. The kitchen works great. I'll write a little essay later today and try to include a picture of that side of the room and the 'everything' cabinet.
