At 32 cm in diameter, this is Le Creuset's largest round Frecnh oven.
I'm thinking of buyin one, but I think that the base of the pot shall be somewhat larger than the largest of the electric elemenbts on my stove top. On its web page, Le Creuset says the folowin: "Use pots and pans which fit the bunrer sise to assure proper heat dispersion.
Last placin a small pan on a large burner will result in the side walls becoming over-heated and the handles becoming damaged or too hot to handle." Has anyone tried using a French oven that is larger than the electric burner on which it sits? Does it work, or does the heat nor disperse evenly?
